Yorkshire Children’s Charity exists to support children living at a disadvantage across our region, be that due to sickness, disability of financial deprivation.

Yorkshire Children's Charity is coming up to its third anniversary, and it is occasions like this that provide a perfect opportunity for us to take stock and see just how far we have come in such a short space of time. The charity launched in January 2022 with one sole motivation: to improve the lives of children and young people living across our region, in the quickest and most efficient way possible. Not once has our team lost sight of this, and we continue to make every decision in the best interest of those we support.

Having set out with £7,000 in the bank, we raised £4.8 million in their first two years, and it is our wish, and that of our Board of Trustees, to raise £3 million this year. Yorkshire’s child poverty levels are the highest we have seen in over 20 years, with one in three of our children living in poverty, making us the third worst region nationally. £3 million will enable us to deliver an ambitious, yet achievable, level of support across the region that will significantly improve the lives of thousands.

This auction will play a crucial role in reaching this goal. Honesty and transparency are at the heart of Yorkshire Children's Charity so if you see 'kindly donated by' next to an auction lot, this means 100% of your bid will go directly to the children, young people, families, and schools who are in desperate need of your help.

All other items are sourced by Impulse Decisions. As a tiny team with huge aspirations and a very busy calendar of events, we rely heavily upon the support of Impulse Decisions to maximise fundraising at our events. Their auction lots raise a considerable sum of money for the Charity throughout the year with no resource required from our team, allowing us to focus our efforts elsewhere.

So, get involved in this auction if you can and know that by doing so, you are making a difference to the lives of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable children and their families. This is Yorkshire’s children’s charity, and it is only through our combined efforts that we will make our region a better place for children and young people to live.
