I grew up in Thornaby (down the road from Middlesbrough) and I understand the struggles families face day to day just to get by in the surrounding areas of Middlesbrough. I was lucky to have a great upbringing due to hard working parents, but not everyone is. The work that MFC Foundation do is fantastic in supporting those families less fortunate from what I see on social media and from what I hear when I am at work and this is why I would love to complete the Great North Run and raise money for this charity.
