A wonderful example of New World wines from the produces of Casas del Bosque in Chile (2 white 2 red) 1 x Sauvignon Blanc - The nose is fruity with lime and guava, with just a hint of white pepper leading to a palate that is fresh with citrus and a mineral backbone. Excellent structure and length. 1 x Chardonnay - Aromas of quince and green plums combined with roasted walnuts and flint. The palate is medium-bodied, complex, fresh and with a long finish - a sign of quality. 1 x Carmenere - Chile's signature grape, the nose exhibits heady notes of raspberry, cedar and a slight smoky quality with just a hint of fresh lavender. The mouth an is full of red cherry and blackberries, sweet tobacco and cinnamon. Ripe tannins and fresh acidity combine to give good balance and length. 1 x Cabernet Sauvignon - Aromas of redcurrant, dark plum and bramble which lead onto the palate which has additional flavours of black cherry, cinnamon and espresso bean. Rich and brooding yet elegant tannins impart fine structure and a long finish.
